A dairy in Gujarat's Banaskantha turns cattle and organic waste into compressed biogas and organic fertilisers in its Bio-CNG plant. The daily production of the plant, which supports farmers by paying them for supplying cattle waste, is 4,500 kg from around 240 metric tonnes of waste. Around 11 lakh kg of Bio-CNG has been produced by the plant so far.
