Jaishankar visits Baku's Ateshgah Fire Temple

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited the historic Ateshgah Fire Temple in Baku, Azerbaijan, on October 23, calling it 'a symbol of historical and cultural connect' between India and Azerbaijan. The 17th–18th century pentagonal complex, built by Hindu, Sikh and Zoroastrian merchants, features Sanskrit and Punjabi inscriptions. His visit is the first by an Indian EAM to Baku in eight years.
