Israel can't confirm death of Hezbollah's Safieddine: Spokesperson

Israel cannot confirm whether Hashem Safieddine, presumed successor to slain Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, has been killed, government spokesperson David Mencer said on Monday. "We don't have that confirmation yet. When it is confirmed, as and when, it'll be on the IDF website," Mencer stated. Reports claimed Safieddine was killed along with his companions in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.
