As LPG supplies from Middle East declined, Argentina emerged as a key supplier to India, exporting about 50,000 tonnes in the first quarter of 2026. Notably, the South American country didn't export LPG to India before 2024 and shipped just 22,000 tonnes in all of 2025. However, the nearly 20,000-km distance between ports increases transportation costs and introduces logistical challenges.
