Tesla to end Cybertruck production by mid-2027 for Cybercab

Elon Musk announced Tesla will wind down Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas by mid-2027 to expand Cybercab robotaxi output. Cybertruck sales fell 48% in 2025 to 20,237 units, far below Musk's 250,000 annual target. Cybercab production began in April 2026, with service launched in Austin in September.
