Dams across India illuminate in tricolour on Independence Day

Marking Independence Day, major dams across India were illuminated in vibrant saffron, white and green lights. Gujarat’s Kadana Dam, Madhya Pradesh's Indira Sagar dam and Jammu and Kashmir’s Salal Dam were illuminated in the national tricolour. India celebrated its 80th Independence Day on August 15, with PM Narendra Modi leading the national commemorations at the Red Fort in New Delhi.
