The ongoing war in Gaza was triggered after Palestinian Hamas militants attacked southern Israel on 7th October, 2023, killing over 1,200 people and taking around 250 hostages. Over 5,000 rockets were launched into Israel in early hours of the day. Hamas fighters killed people in streets, in homes and at the Supernova open air music festival, where thousands had gathered.
