Sensex jumps 700 points at open, IT stocks lead gains

Benchmark index Sensex jumped around 700 points at market open on Friday, with IT stocks leading the gains. TCS led the rally, rising over 5%, followed by Infosys, Tech Mahindra and HCLTech. TCS shares surged after the IT major reported a 15% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹13,884 crore in Q2 FY27. Nifty also climbed above 22,400.
