700 families living in slum near PM's residence to be evicted, orders Delhi HC

Delhi High Court has given nearly 700 families living in three slum clusters near the Prime Minister's official residence six weeks to vacate their houses and relocate to alternative accommodation provided by the government. It said the government could evict them after that period to clear the land, if necessary, with police assistance. The direction followed appeals by slum dwellers.
