The US will send a high-altitude anti-missile system to Israel, along with the troops needed to operate it. The move is "to help bolster Israel's air defenses following Iran's unprecedented attacks", the Pentagon said. The Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense battery was earlier deployed to the Middle East region in 2023 after Hamas attacked Israel and in 2019 for an exercise.
