SEBI plans to stop duplicate penalties for companies for same violation
SEBI is considering a framework to ensure companies listed on multiple exchanges are not penalised repeatedly by different bourses for the same violation, Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey said. The proposal aims to reduce unnecessary compliance burdens without weakening investor safeguards. SEBI is also reviewing other regulatory areas to improve clarity and streamline compliance requirements.
