Congress candidate from Ambala Cantt Assembly constituency Parvinder Pal Pari claimed the party made him lose the election from the seat and accused party leader Deepender Hooda of supporting Independent candidate Chitra Sarwara. "Congress fielded a rebel candidate as part of a conspiracy. Congress workers were threatened not to support me," he added. Parvinder got 14,469 votes in the election.
