At least 40 people were killed and over 50 others injured in Israeli airstrikes around the eastern city of Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon on Wednesday. The Israeli military said the strikes hit operatives and infrastructure of Hezbollah. Strikes also hit the southern suburbs of Beirut on Wednesday, after Israel issued new evacuation warnings.
