More than 47,000 workers of Samsung Electronics are set to begin an 18-day strike on Thursday in South Korea after wage negotiations between the company and its union completely broke down. Samsung said the union had insisted on "unacceptable demands" that included the size of bonuses for loss-making units. Following this announcement, the shares of the company fell 3%.
