Wife of Malaysia's longest serving PM dies at age 100

Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, wife of Malaysia’s longest-serving PM Mahathir Mohamad, has died aged 100. She was the first woman appointed as a medical officer in Mahathir’s home state of Kedah and worked on maternal health and family planning. Mahathir once described her as the “backbone” of his success. She was widely known for her public service.
