World Bank has approved a $700-million (₹6,270 crore) aid package for Pakistan as the country's economy continues to falter. This follows World Bank's approval for a $47.9-million grant in August and reports that India will oppose World Bank funding for Pakistan. According to the bank's statement, part of the funds will be used to improve Pakistan's budget planning and execution.
