Nearly 100 stray dogs were allegedly poisoned to death in a village in Mancherial district in Telangana, PTI reported, citing police. The incident took place on the intervening night of March 7 and 8. An animal welfare activist in a complaint alleged that the village sarpanch and gram panchayat secretary hired two people to administer poisonous injections to the dogs.
