A study conducted by UK's University of Bath found that cats and humans show similar age-related changes in brain structure and overall shrinkage. Researchers found that both, humans and cats can develop neurodegenerative changes as they grow older. They added that cats have shorter lifespans than humans which allows factors affecting ageing to be studied at a much faster rate.
