After buying wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant for ₹27 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka revealed that the franchise had kept ₹26 crore for Pant. He added, "₹27 crore was slightly up but we are very happy that we have him. He is an outstanding player." Pant has become the most expensive player in IPL history.
