India responded as Iran's unrest and US' threats to attack if Iran kills protestors have threatened India's ₹4,500-crore investments in Chabahar Port. India said its port operations fall under the US Treasury Department's unconditional sanctions waiver, issued on October 28, 2025 and valid till April 26, 2026. "We're in discussions with the US to work within this framework," India added.
