'One week of paternity leave is a joke,' says new father; sparks discussion

A Reddit post by a new father has triggered discussion on paternity leave policies, after he revealed his employer restricted his time off to just one week. "[It's] a joke," the post read. The man emphasised that paternity leave shouldn't be treated as discretionary benefit. "I thought this'd be illegal," a comment read while another person wrote, "At least...3 weeks...are...needed."
