Rights group asks FIFA to stop Infantino's re-election plans over term limits
Human rights group FairSquare urged FIFA to declare President Gianni Infantino ineligible for re-election, arguing he has served maximum three terms allowed under FIFA statutes. Infantino earlier argued his first term, which began in 2016 after Sepp Blatter's resignation, shouldn't count as it completed an interrupted mandate. FairSquare rejected the interpretation, calling it a breach of rules.
