Air travel may get costlier as jet fuel prices rise
Domestic air travel is expected to get costlier as aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices were hiked by ₹16 per litre to ₹137 on Thursday, marking the third straight month of price hikes. ATF prices were raised by ₹6.28 per litre in September, following a ₹5 per litre increase in August. ATF accounts for up to 40% of airlines' operating costs.
