Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday said it received a demand of over ₹9 crore from the Customs authority in Maharashtra for the payment of duties on imported goods at different rates. The firm has been asked to pay a differential duty of ₹4.73 crore with a penalty of the same amount. Maruti Suzuki said it will challenge the order before authorities.
