The US' Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, covering 24 hectares, houses 10,000 soldiers, while the base in Bahrain houses 3,479 active-duty members, according to a Congressional Research Service (CRS) report from July 2024. Kuwait's bases are home to 13,500 American soldiers. In June 2024, White House said 2,300 soldiers were stationed in Saudi Arabia, most at the air base.
