Rupee opens near six-week high against dollar

The Indian rupee opened 10 paise higher at a near six-week high of 94.39 against the US dollar on Monday. Strong foreign currency non-resident bank [FCNR(B)] deposit inflows and RBI interventions helped boost the currency, according to market experts. However, rising Brent crude prices and a potential US Federal Reserve rate hike remain key concerns.
