SC asks Rajpal to pay ₹5 crore to avoid surrender in ₹9-cr cheque bounce case

The Supreme Court has asked actor Rajpal Yadav to deposit ₹5 crore by Wednesday as a condition for exempting him from surrendering to serve his sentence in the ₹9-crore cheque-bounce case. Delhi High Court earlier sentenced him to three months in each case, to run concurrently. Rajpal previously said he’d “go to jail five times, but won’t pay a penny”.
