Copper prices surged to an all-time high on the London Metal Exchange on Monday, with three-month futures touching $14,533 per tonne. The rise was driven by US tariff concerns, increased copper inventories in the US and supply struggling to meet demand. Growing demand from AI infrastructure, electric vehicles, power grids and renewable energy also supported the price surge.
