India's first hydrogen-powered train is expected to be flagged off by PM Narendra Modi on July 17 from Haryana's Jind. The 10-coach train, with a passenger capacity of 2,600, will cover 356 km daily by making two round trips of 89 km each between Jind and Sonipat. It's expected to consume 300-kg hydrogen daily when running at full passenger capacity.
