People with similar autistic traits are more socially drawn to each other and sync their brains differently during conversation, a study found. While neurotypical pairs synced in regions linked to automatic social perception, high-trait pairs synced in areas tied to deliberate thinking. Researchers said this suggests autism reflects a different communication style, not a social deficit.
