Stray sex between separated spouses does not mean cruelty was forgiven: Calcutta HC
The Calcutta High Court held that stray sexual relations between spouses after separation don't automatically mean earlier matrimonial cruelty was forgiven. Upholding divorce granted to a husband, the court said forgiveness must be clear and couple must genuinely resume married life. Even forgiven cruelty, it added, can become a ground for divorce again if that partner is cruel once more.
