Indonesia's food and drug control agency head Penny Lukito announced on Monday that emergency authorisation has been given for the use of five coronavirus vaccines as booster doses. The five approved vaccines are Sinovac, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna and Zifivax. "We need to give the booster vaccine to maintain vaccine efficacy against coronavirus infection," Lukito said.
