Gold prices have hit all-time high after breaching the ₹94,000-mark for first time on Tuesday. The prices of the precious metal of 99.9% purity jumped ₹2,000 to hit ₹94,150/10 grams in Delhi, according to the All India Sarafa Association. Meanwhile, silver prices dropped by ₹500 to trade at ₹1,02,500 per kg.

Ashwani recorded figures of 3-0-24-4 as MI dismissed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 116 runs in 16.2 overs. He took the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey and Andre Russell.

Mumbai Indians (MI) fast bowler Ashwani Kumar took a wicket on the first-ever delivery he bowled in IPL. The 23-year-old debutant dismissed KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane with his first delivery in their IPL 2025 match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Rahane was dismissed for 11(7) in KKR's fourth over.

America's S&P 500 and Nasdaq stock market indexes hit more than six-month lows on Monday. At 09:44 am (US time), the S&P 500 was down 81.90 points (1.47%) to 5,499.04 and the Nasdaq was down 409.48 points (2.36%) to 16,913.52. The indices fell amid massive selloff by investors on worries over US President Donald Trump's upcoming announcement of tariff plans.

India has reportedly refuted a New York Times' report that alleged that state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) may have "re-routed British sensitive equipment" to Russian Rosoboronexport, which is sanctioned by UK and EU. External Affairs Ministry sources said, "The report is factually incorrect and misleading. It has tried to frame issues and distort facts to suit a political narrative."

The ruling military junta in Myanmar said the death toll from the recent earthquake has risen to 2,056. The toll is expected to rise further, the junta said. The 7.7 magnitude quake, which occurred on Friday (March 28), was followed by a strong 6.4 magnitude aftershock, with widespread damage to infrastructure and lives reported in the country.

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has been banned from public office for five years, meaning she can not run in the 2027 presidential election. She was found guilty of embezzling European Union funds to finance her National Rally (RN) party. She has also been given a prison sentence.

IFS officer of 2014 batch, Nidhi Tewari, has been appointed PM Narendra Modi's Private Secretary. Currently serving as a Deputy Secretary at Prime Minister's Office, Tewari previously served as Under Secretary at the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division in Foreign Ministry. Nidhi is from PM Modi's constituency of Varanasi and had secured 96th rank in UPSC civil services exam.
