PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti accused some "bigots" of turning Holi into a "source of fear" for minorities, alleging that this is happening with approval of those in power. Taking to X, she wrote, "Holi for me has always symbolized India’s Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb...It's time to wake up India." Mufti's remark came as Holi and Jumma were celebrated on the same day.
