Hundreds of fish died in East Delhi's Sanjay Lake due to a combination of extreme heat and a damaged water pipeline, which resulted in reduced oxygen levels and contaminated water, officials said. "The water became extremely hot due to high temperature, which is why fish are dying," a caretaker said. The pipeline had been supplying treated water to the lake.
