Government has increased spending powers of military commanders and service chiefs to speed up procurement of projects worth over ₹1.25 lakh crore. The financial powers of Army Commanders and equivalent officers have been raised from ₹30 crore to ₹100 crore, while the spending limit of the chiefs of all three forces has been increased from ₹75 crore to ₹125 crore.
