US is ending its donation of medical supplies for diseases such as HIV and malaria to lower-income countries, a report by Reuters said. US donated over $5 billion of HIV and malaria medicines to 90 countries from 2016 to 2024 with help of private contractor Chemonics, the report added. Trump ordered a temporary stop to foreign aid in January 2025.
