Why was the start of the Ballon d'Or 2026 ceremony delayed?

The Ballon d'Or 2026 ceremony was reportedly delayed by 45 minutes due to traffic issues in UK's London. Severe traffic congestion made it difficult for several players and guests to reach the London Palladium, where 70th edition of the ceremony was held. Notably, Harry Kane won his maiden men's Ballon d'Or, while Alexia Putellas won her third women's Ballon d'Or.
