US Capitol's police arrested a man carrying a firearm near the building's north barricade on Monday and took him into custody. Police said Capitol staff and other personnel were told to avoid the area until further notice while police investigate the incident. Firearms are prohibited on Capitol grounds. A video of the incident showed six officers surrounding the man's car.
