With BJP set to form the government in West Bengal, the party will now have Chief Ministers in India’s four most populous states (Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and West Bengal) for first time. Further, among the top 10 most populous states, the BJP will have governments in seven. BJP and its allies now have power in 22 states/UTs in India.
