Tech that can restore sight to blind people is ready, says Musk

Elon Musk announced that Neuralink's Blindsight is ready from an engineering standpoint and that it is just waiting on regulatory approval. Blindsight, which skips optic nerves and feeds visual data directly to brain, will "enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see". US Food and Drug Administration had granted it Breakthrough Device Designation in 2024.
