Gold spot price falls to over 3-week low

Gold prices fell to their lowest level in more than three weeks on Wednesday as fresh US-Iran tensions lifted oil prices, stoking inflation and rate-hike fears. Spot gold fell 0.6% to $4,304.01 per ounce, heading for a fourth straight session of losses. Spot silver also fell 1% to $63.60 per ounce, while platinum declined 1% to $1,722.23.
