PIB Fact Check and BPCL have debunked a viral video showing a large swarm of ants around an E20 fuel-compatible vehicle's fuel tank. Calling it "fake", the government wrote, "A link between E20 fuel and ant attraction has no scientific basis." BPCL said fermentation and distillation processes eliminate residual sugars from the ethanol which is used for petrol blending.
