Canada’s retaliatory tariffs on billions of dollars’ worth of American imports have come into effect, escalating a trade fight between the two countries. The counter-tariffs cover $20 billion of US goods, with duties ranging from 15% to 50% on products including furniture and electronics. Canada said the move was in response to the US imposing 50% tariffs on Canadian goods.
