Court quashes NSA detention of activist in Noida protest case, calls state's version 'concocted'

The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday quashed preventive detention of student activist Akriti Chaudhary under the National Security Act (NSA). It stated that her detention was based on a "concocted story" by the state. However, Chaudhary will continue to remain in custody as she is yet to secure bail in various cases registered in connection with the Noida workers' protest.
