Ujani data centre drops nuclear reactor, hydrogen plant after protests

Following protests by farmers and fishermen near Solapur's Ujani dam, the consortium behind a proposed AI data centre has dropped a green hydrogen plant and Small Modular Reactor from the project. The revised MoU will cover only the AI data centre, floating solar plant, and battery storage. Protesters cited water shortages and threats to fishing livelihoods.
