ACs, appliances 5-8% costlier ahead of Diwali: Report

Air-conditioners and consumer appliances have risen 5-8% in price ahead of Diwali, marking the third hike this year due to higher input costs and freight expenses, NDTVProfit reported. Despite this, manufacturers like Haier, LG, and Sony expect 10-20% festive sales growth, supported by EMI offers, GST rationalisation, and strong consumer demand for premium products, the report added.
