CCS clears ₹40,000 crore project for 8 Navy corvettes

The Cabinet Committee on Security, chaired by PM Modi, approved a ₹40,000 crore project to build eight Next Generation Corvettes for the Indian Navy. Contracts will soon be signed with GRSE and Goa Shipyard Limited. The first vessel is expected by 2030, with shipyards exploring ways to accelerate deliveries.
