Foreign ministers from eight countries in the Middle East, in a joint statement, condemned the continued Israeli closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan. UAE, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar said restrictions on the places of worship violate international law, adding Israel had no sovereignty over "occupied" Jerusalem or its Islamic holy sites.
