NASA's moon lander Athena, developed by Intuitive Machines, will attempt to land on the moon's south pole on March 6, near the Mons Mouton site. Launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9, Athena's mission, part of NASA's CLPS program, aims to study water ice and resources for future crewed missions. Another lander, Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost, recently touched down.
